Chelsea Market

 Friday Fictioneers

This piece may read as if it's non-fiction, but trust me, it's fiction!  I have never been here, never seen the water feature, and I had never even heard of the Chelsea Market until this prompt!  Pure fiction! (Although I did look up the menu of an Italian deli there.  But, it didn't make me drool.)

Of all the man-made waterfalls I’ve seen, and New York has some doozies, my pick to visit would be the one inside the Chelsea Market.  Although I suppose waterfall purists would argue that it’s really just a giant tap running water into a hole in the floor!  Okay, that’s true… but it’s lit with changing colored lights!  Plus, where else can you see a giant tap running water into the floor, while drinking German craft beer and chowing down on a sandwich of mozzarella, artichokes and eggplant on focaccia?   The thought makes me drool!   I’ll wait until after vaccinations though.

  1. You know I hadn't considered it, but to have that water splashing while drinking may increase the visits to the ladies room.

    1. Leave off the eggplant for me. The cheese and marinated artichokes would be good.
