Synonyms Only - Two for Tanka Tuesday February 14, 2023

Image
Tanka Tuesday Weekly Poetry Challenge No. 307 words not to use: change and grow  I have written two, as change can be taken more than one way.  This first is a Kelly Lune, syllable count of 5/3/5, invented by Robert Kelly.  Jack Collom later introduced the word count 5/3/5 Lune. Coins in my pocket. So few, yet saved may multiply.  This second is a zappai, 5/7/5. Make a difference. Cultivate kindness to all in abounding love.   ©2023 Lisa Smith Nelson. Envy and Innuendoes

Image
Tanka Tuesday Poet's Choice April was National Poetry Month, and there were too many poetry challenges and daily prompts to keep up.  Instagram had several, one of which had three rows of words and the challenge was to choose one word from each row and compose a poem, or several.  I did, but never got around to posting them.  Until now.   Here are two that are syllabic, an American Sentence and a Kelly Lune.  I left the original prompt words in red.  link (but I don't find it there) The intimate innuendo flushed her cheeks a quick fire brick red.     https://pixabay.com/photos/melons-honeydew-melons-eat-fruit-198600/ envy is bitter and pungent a green honeydew   ©2021 Lisa Smith Nelson.
