M - Mondo

A Mondo is a poem with a question and an answer, often written by two poets in collaboration.  While it is quite like a sedoka, the focus of a mondo is on nature.  I read a mondo can be one line (although how that will contain the question and the answer wasn't explained), or two 5/7/7 stanzas, the first being the question, the second the answer. 


Trip to Faerie

 

This light that issues

from the blue morning glory,

where does it originate?

 

Faerie, I’ve no doubt.

A dreamland for bee visits;

See? Pollen glows on her back.

      Thank you. I really do ask myself, and my family, every year, "Where does that light come from?" I take photo after photo and people think it's photoshopped, but they really are bright white inside!

    Wouldn't it be fun if life followed a Mondo and all our questions had the answers included. Although, maybe it wouldn't be as interesting. Weekends In Maine

      But, would be follow the advice in the answers? Probably not. We like to muddle through on our own.
