Hygge
I gaze out at the gentle snow fall
grateful for the warmth behind me
blazing fire, crackling logs
brought in before the storm
to last the weekend
let the snow come
you are here
with me

This left me with a warm and cozy feeling! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! My weather has been quite nasty, so warm and cozy is nice! I don't have a fireplace though.
DeleteFew things are as comforting as a having warmth to lean into when the world grows cold. This is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYes!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I say!
DeleteEyes shut, deep breath, exhale, sigh .... yes.
ReplyDeleteThe sound of those actions are very relaxing!
DeletePeaceful poem.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I find snow to be so quiet, and peaceful. It muffles sound.
DeleteIt has been many years since experiencing really cold winters. As I read this in Australia as the temperture soars here I felt a tiny shiver!
ReplyDeleteI read that the temperatures are soaring again this year. Terrible. I don't have really cold ones either, not like in the poem. A bit of snow sometimes, sometimes it stays, usually not. It's pretty for a day or two.
DeleteSounds delightful!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'd put myself in that picture right now if I could!
DeleteOoo this sounds very cosy...dont forget the triple chocolate cocoa
ReplyDeleteI have homemade cocoa almost every morning!
