 words: life and view

 

The mountain is gone

Only a fog bank in view

Still, life continues

 

A neighbor cut down

The paper birch in his yard

A gash to my heart

 

Life continues on

Amid missing trees, mountains

Does no one notice?

    Three wonderful nature inspired haiku Lisa. I am currently reading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. She shares so much natural wisdom form your countries original people.

      I looked the book and author up, and it does sound like an interesting read. In fact, I see my library has it! I am 21st in line to check it out, which shows it's quite popular. Thanks for mentioning it.
