The night was just lovely

The dancers sublime

The air filled with glitter

we hear the clock chime

Kissed on the lips

where the mistletoe’s lurking

Tied to the lintel

it seemed to be working!

The candle burnt down

tots are nodding their heads

Carry the sleepy

upstairs to their beds

Footsteps grow faint

Until friends are all gone

The house now is lonely

and I start to yawn

    1. Thank you. I'll tell you, I had a bit finding where to put that "lurking!" The rest all fit nicely.

    1. Or someone lurking under it will! That word just didn't fit with the rest! ,
