Wordle 489

 https://sundaywhirl.wordpress.com/2021/01/01/wordle-489/

Prompt words in red.

When the garden lays in silence,

and the blossoms are sleeping

in the midnight haze,

the grinding metal

on metal

of the train wheels screaming

in the freight yard

cease until first light.

I risk a check of myself and find

my cluttered head has become clear and calm,

stress stiffened spine relaxed,

clenched fists open,

and my ofttimes sweaty palms

are dry.

I breathe in the cool night air

scented with moonflowers.

After day life weighs on my shoulders

I come here to refresh.

Darkness and the garden lift me.

You can bank on it.

    1. Or Puerto Rico. It was so lush when I was there. Blooming shrubs of plants we have as small houseplants in pots.
