Baby Cat

Here's a little poem about Baby Cat, based on a prompt word "peek."


Who’s that peeking

from her lair,

golden eyes

all a’glare?

 

With little white mittens

on her feet,

peering through the rails,

oh, so sweet?

 

It’s my darlin’

Southern Belle*,

lost and found,

now here to dwell.

    Hello, Lisa. I love what you did here.
    Unlike many of the sites that now offer challenges, ie personal blogs that have digressed. Weekly Prompts was created not as a personal blog, but solely to offer prompts and challenges.

    GC and I chose not to use our own blog sites for the challenges. Instead, we created Weekly Prompts as our joint challenge site in June 2018 when WordPress ceased the popular 'Daily Prompts'. We were keen to replicate the 'Daily Prompts' fuss free format by limiting the site to pingbacks, we assumed that comments would be made on the bloggers' sites and saw no need to include them on our challenge pages. I'm sorry you were unable to leave a pingback; it is unfortunate that pingbacks, an exclusive WordPress design, do not allow non-WordPress bloggers to use the format.

    If in the future you wish to take part in our challenges, you are more than welcome to leave your link on our comments page. Thank you for attempting to take part it's appreciated. ~ Sue 🙂
