Meet Me at the Station
Today's ekphrasic prompt comes from Willow Willer. My choice of syllabic form is a reverse nonet.
Let's
travel
together,
run off alone,
take the Eurostar.
Meet me at the station,
you know just where I will be,
standing below The Meeting Place
at London St. Pancras Station.

I really really like this poem well done 💜💜
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteYou also picked my favourite form a Nonet 💜
ReplyDeleteI wrote line 6 first, then decided on the nonet so it would fit in a syllabic poem!
DeleteExcellent 💜
DeleteI love the specific locations in your nonet!
ReplyDeleteThank you. The sculpture has an interesting origin, and online photos of its base are amazing.
DeleteOh, this is stunning, Lisa. The sculpture is so interesting. I can imagine the man saying all of this to the woman! 💜
ReplyDeleteOr perhaps the woman is saying it to the man!
DeleteSo enticing! It makes me want to grab my bags and go. Lol! Great poem, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteSort of mysterious, I wonder where they'll go? I didn't look up destinations from that station. We could make up an entire story about the two of them!
DeleteLoved the message in the lines.
