I - I

I

I want to forgive
I want to forget
But neither’s in our stars.

Not yours, not mine
The cards are dealt
to question isn’t ours.

I loved you once
I loved you twice
And then you went away.

I pay the price
for my neglect
And rue that awful day.

    1. In poetry that is. In real life, if we don't like the cards we've drawn, we can change the way we're going, switch cards if you will, change the entire game!
