The sound of gravel
on the roof, pellets batter

  1. Ah, spring. Uncertain weather. Your verse provides great visual/auditory clarity.

    1. Uncertain is the only thing certain about spring! I've been hit hard by sudden summer hail too. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. At least here they don't last long. They are pretty exciting at the time, the noise on the roof, the dogs barking!

  3. Love that photo Lisa - hail is such an interesting phenomenon. It seems to me we've had a significant increase in hail storms over the past few years, but I'm always somehow astonished by them.

    1. So am I. They come out of nowhere, suddenly all the noise of them! One of my dogs loves all weather, but he'll stand in the hail and blink as it hits his head! He still stand in it though.
