 Sunday Muse #151

Photo Prompt

 Ronald Ong

Fox,

he leaps

toward the mouse.

August or December

are just the same to him.

Success or hunger.

A mouse life

or a fox’s,

Mother Nature rolls her die

and picks that day’s winner.

    1. Thank you. It does make one think when we cheer prey escaping. That fox may have kits to feed, then we'd want the mouse to be caught.

    1. Oh, but I only had her rolling ONE die! I actually had two and changed it for some reason. But, snake eyes could turn up for the mouse, if it runs into the wrong hole.

    1. I was thinking how the fox can be friend or foe to a farmer. We always hear how they get into the hen houses, but they do eat a lot of vermin that gets into the hen houses too, as well as grain.
