Bored to Death - Zappai and Oddquain

Tanka Tuesday Challenge No. 244

 photo prompt:

Resting my ol’ bones,

I’d kill for a cup of tea.

It’s all a ghost town.

Wait

at Death’s door,

dead as a doornail.

My skeleton key got lost.

Bones.

  1. Nice word play, Lisa, every line!!
I don't hardly ever drink tea but I do like skeleton keys.

    1. I had such fun making a list of all the idioms with death, skeleton, ghost, etc! I even thought of "death row" references row houses! I found a site that lists all the phrases (well, I'm sure it can't list them all) searching by key words!
