V - Veterinarians, Gas Stations, and Edward

Image
VETERINARIANS, GAS STATIONS, AND EDWARD We went to the vet’s for a blood test ‘cause Edward needed his pills. Allergies and thyroid, epilepsy and big bills Everyone says, “How cute.” Everyone thinks, “How smart.” I say, “Edward’s very sweet,” and add his salve to my cart.    Edward loves all people, but thinks small dogs are snacks. So keep that wiener dog away, I give you just the facts! Edward’s a Goldendoodle, a mutt by another name. When we offer him a car ride, Edward’s always game. He has his regular treat rounds He’s a hairy dog rock star! Coffee stand, gas station, the vet has treats in a jar. Edward’s very curly, but it’s hair he has, not fur. The groomer’s cost is mighty as your balance will concur. If you want a Goldendoodle, Just heed these words I say, They’re sweet and cute and loving, but, oh, you may rue the day!   ©2019 Lisa Smith Nelson. All Rights Reserved
