I Saw the Ravens Again
"There is no specific form or theme required..."
I saw the ravens again, waiting atop the lamp post, watchful as I walked past.A message to deliver, they attempt to catch my eye. It's best I acknowledge them.I write these words and wonder,do I trust myself enough?Heed a hunch? Believe a dream? The ravens' reappearanceall the answer that I need.I'll leave them something shinyfor their troubles. They journeyed farto strengthen me.

You have some powerful friends and they work for cheap ;)
ReplyDeleteIts best to acknowledge ravens when they call. A great idea to leave a gift in return.
ReplyDeleteI love "they journeyed far/ to strengthen me ' They are good problem solvers so they will do a good job :)
ReplyDeleteAlways recognize the ravens
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy a corvid poem, Lisa, and love how you acknowledged them and their message with something shiny.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious as to what you might have left for them, hoping they appreciated the gesture. I know ravens are larger than crows which I often see .. will have to keep a sharp lookout for the "Ravens Of Bend" in my central Oregon.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed very much reading of your ravens and you. I loved reading about Poe and his Ravens too. Wish I had some to write of.
